Business Conference - Liverpool - Communication means Business

Communication – The Greatest Business Tool or the Biggest Challenge to Your Business?

Failures in Communication cause more problems within businesses than any other single challenge.

Tasks don't get done due to misunderstandings.

Upset is caused where none was intended.

Marketing Budgets are wasted because testing was not done.

Sales are lost because prospects still had questions unanswered.

Staff Turnover rises because a Manager has poor inter-personal communication skills.

The list is endless.

The Clarity Conference is a half day Conference and will address Communication and Liverpool. We will consider the challenges that it causes for businesses and look at simple solutions to mitigate the negative affects poor communication can have on the bottom line.

Life and business would be a lot easier if other people always understood what we meant to say. Sadly, all too often this is not the case.

The key to good communications is to understand that communication is not about transmission but ALL to do with reception. It does not matter what you think you said it only matters what the recipient thought you said.

A good Marketing and Advertising Professional will always get their clients to test a Marketing Message before rolling it out.

Good Industrial Relations spends time understanding the position of both parties.

Good Management will always check that the team understands what is expected of them.

Good selling will always ask question and really LISTEN to the answers and then test that they understand the position.

We all know this, so why is communication the cause of more challenges to business than any other reason? Perhaps we are not all doing what we know we should. Or perhaps we need a reminder and a helping hand to refocus our Communications Strategy.

Good News, because the first Clarity Conference, organised by ClarityClarity, will address “Communication means Business in Liverpool. This will be held in Liverpool on 10th October 2007 at The FACT Centre.

We will have three speakers. John Durrant, CEO of Equilibrium, a local Charity, who will address the techniques and tools to use if you want to get people to take the action you want. Keith A Ayres, of ClarityClarity will consider “Communicating Your Message”. Our Keynote Speaker will be Frank McKenna, Chairman of Downtown Liverpool in Business and rumoured to be the bookies hot favourite to be Liverpool’s first elected Mayor.

Frank McKenna will consider how Liverpool can improve its communication and return to its historical prosperous position as a major City of England.

When we talk and when we write WE know what we are talking or writing about. But do the recipients of our words understand what we say or what they hear?

The Tickets will be on sale through our new website later in August 2007(not active yet) and will cost £150.00. If you run a business in the Liverpool area you NEED to be there. If you have a Branch in the Liverpool area, you NEED to be there. This meeting will have Directors from the leading businesses and enterprises in Greater Merseyside. There will be representatives from Public Sector, Local and National Government, Voluntary organisation, International businesses, national Businesses and Local Businesses. Don’t miss out.
